Reference project: Viking Line

Kite bin to the ships public environments

Viking Line’s new ship M/S Viking Grace is not only one of the world’s most ecological passenger ships, it also has a unique interior design. The Finnish architect Dsign Vertti Kivi & Co handpicked the Kite recycling bin for its award-winning interior.

When Viking Line started work on its new flagship vessel, they set the standard high. The result is a ship whose design spikes the sensitive archipelago environment through reduced waveforms and lower fuel consumption. The environmental thought is found in several places on board, from the long ecological wine list to the passengers’ ability to recycle their waste. TreCe has had the privilege of delivering the Kite bin to the ships public environments, including the 1600 sqm large duty free shop. The ship’s interior, which differs significantly from traditional ship furnishings, is modern and graphic. The straight angles in decor and patterns match the lines of TreCe’s recycling bin Kite.

M/S Viking Grace travels to and from Stockholm-Turku, and since the maiden voyage the ship has had a high occupancy. TreCe wishes happiness to her continued journey!
