Kite – German Design Award Winner 2020

Ännu en gång har Kite tagit hem ett internationellt designpris. Denna gång German Design Award 2020 i kategoring Excellent Product Design – Office Furniture. Kite är en snygg designad källsorteringsmöbel / papperskorg som passar i många miljöer, idag kan man hitta Kite på många köpcentrum, kontor och offentliga platser. Vi har även sett ett ökat behov av källsortering på mindre skala, dvs på hotell och konferensrum vilket födde idén till efterföljaren Kite mini. Kite mini är helt enkelt en mini version av Kite.

Statement of the jury

These high-quality waste bins catch the eye with their particularly elegant design language. Thanks to the different angles of their layouts, they can easily be arranged in groups or placed individually in both right-angled and odd-angled corners and niches. The option of having different openings makes separating waste simple.

Description

Kite is a flexible solution for recycling. It is built from a basic module that can be assembled into customised combinations. Its unique shape consists of 60°, 90° and 120° angles and, thus, can be either free-standing in a room or placed in corners of different angles. A detail is the sloping short side, which lends the waste bin a distinctive profile. The body is made of impact-resistant, powder-lacquered sheet steel. Lid in vacuum-foiled MDF with screen-printed symbols.
