Wingårdh choose Kite

In late October 2012 Sweden’s largest shopping mall Emporia opened in Hyllie, Malmo. TreCe have been privileged to supply their recycling furniture Kite to the 93,000 sqm mall.

Katia Sorkine, Steen & Strøm has been the coordinator of the enormous project. She is impressed by TreCe’s effort and work:
– Trece has given good service and prompt feedback. Additionally, we have received great support from our contact that was present in the region.

Wingårdh architectural office stands for the design of Emporia. It was Wingårdhs that noticed Kite when it was launched at the Stockholm furniture fair in 2012, they also prescribed the product to the project. Kite was specially adapted to blend in and complement the architect’s vision. For example, the colors of Kite where adjusted to the malls six different squares environments, including the Amber Entrance, Ocean Square and Flower Square.

3000 people work in the Emporia mall that are daily visited by over 20,000 visitors. The high flow of personnel and visitors place great demands on the Recycle Bin’s usability. Kites various inlets and clear, printed symbols, making it easy to separate, even for people on the go.

Besides client Steen & Strøm, Structure and Advansia also participated in the project.
